The jury of this international competition received a large number of submissions. Upon selecting the nominated projects the jury used a set of strict criteria. Projects were judges on among others the relation between the patients and clients wellbeing and the realized infrastructure.

Although the ten nominated projects are all different in character, there is also a number of similarities between them. From the nominations the conclusion can be drawn that the rising level of attention for the care building’s users’- patients, caregivers and visitors- wellbeing is a worldwide trend. Another important aspect in many submissions is the importance of “green” and nature for an optimal healing environment.
