The first international NVTG IFHE Building Award
The Japanese Ashikaga Red Cross hospital in Tokyo has become the winner of the first international NVTG IFHE Building Award.
The Dutch winners of the NVTG Building Award 2016 were the Meander Medical Center in Amersfoort, small scale housing project for people with dementia De Koekoek in Veenendaal, and revalidation center Laurens Intermezzo Zuid in Rotterdam.
The award ceremony was on Tuesday April 19th during the successful NVTG IFHE World Congress 2016 that took place in the World Forum in The Hague. The awards were presented by the NVTG and IFHE president Douwe Kiestra, together with chairman of the Building Award jury Masi Mohammadi .
Over forty projects from all over the world were submitted for the NVTG IFHE Building Award. Twenty-two projects represented the cure sector, fifteen projects represented the care sector and the remaining projects represented both. All projects shared the theme “A healing environment for all users”. All winners of the first international Building Award can be found here.
